ABOUT ME
Brigitte Haston
MA, MBACP
I have a Master's degree in psychotherapy and counselling from Roehampton University and over ten years' experience in private practice. I have also worked within the NHS.
My training is person-centred and integrative. I am informed by psychodynamic thinking, which enables me to place present experiences within the context of earlier formative relationships and recurring patterns. I am also trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in corporate public relations. This background helped me understand the wish for a solution-driven approach, and I practise mindfulness as a counter to the pull of excessive planning.
I believe that understanding ourselves more clearly creates the possibility for greater choice, deeper connection and meaningful change.
